Foodometer is a nutrition tracking mobile application that helps users:

- Analyze nutrition patterns and trends
- Access comprehensive food nutrition databases
- Manage food favorites and preferences
Acceptable Use
Permitted Uses
You may use Foodometer for:
- Personal nutrition tracking and health management
- Educational purposes related to nutrition
- Legitimate health and wellness goals
- Sharing anonymous feedback and feature suggestions
Prohibited Uses
You may NOT:
- Use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the application
- Share your account credentials with others
- Submit false, misleading, or inappropriate content
- Use the app to harm yourself or others
- Violate any local, state, national, or international law
User Accounts and Data
Account Responsibility
- You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your profile information
- You must keep your device secure to protect your personal data
- You are responsible for all activities that occur on your device

- We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee all nutrition data is perfect

Nutrition Information
- Nutrition data comes from public databases (USDA, Open Food Facts)
- Information may not be 100% accurate for all products
- Users should verify critical nutrition information independently
- The app is not suitable for managing serious medical conditions without professional supervision
User Responsibility
- You are responsible for using the app safely and appropriately
- Monitor your health and consult professionals if concerned
- Do not use the app if you have serious eating disorders without professional guidance

Intellectual Property Rights
App Ownership
- Foodometer and its original content are owned by the app developers
- The app is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the app
User Content

- By using the app, you grant us a license to use anonymous, aggregated data for app improvement

Premium Features and Billing
Free vs Premium
- Basic nutrition tracking features are available for free
- Premium upgrade ($0.99) removes advertisements
- Premium features are clearly identified in the app
Billing Terms
- Premium upgrade is a one-time purchase through Google Play Billing
- Payment will be charged to your Google Play account
- No automatic subscriptions or recurring charges
- Premium access is tied to your Google Play account
Refunds
- Refund requests should be directed to Google Play Store
- We follow Google Play's refund policies
- Contact us for technical issues before requesting refunds
Garmin Connect Integration
Optional Third-Party Service
- Garmin Connect integration is completely optional and requires separate user authorization
- Integration governed by OAuth 1.0a authentication through Garmin's secure servers
- We participate in Garmin's official business developer program with approved access
User Responsibilities
- You are responsible for managing your Garmin Connect account and authentication
- You control which data types Foodometer can access through Garmin's permission system
- You can revoke access at any time through app settings or your Garmin Connect account
Service Availability
- Garmin integration depends on Garmin's API availability and terms of service
- We may discontinue Garmin integration with 30 days notice if required by Garmin or technical limitations
- Disconnection of Garmin integration does not affect core app functionality
Advertising and Third-Party Services
AdMob Integration
- Free users see advertisements served by Google AdMob
- Ads are selected based on anonymous data, not personal nutrition information
- Premium users can remove ads with the premium upgrade
Third-Party Services
- We integrate with USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts, Firebase, AdMob, and Garmin Connect
- Each service has its own terms and privacy policies
- We are not responsible for third-party service availability or policies
Limitation of Liability
Service Availability
- We strive to maintain service availability but cannot guarantee 100% uptime
- We may temporarily suspend service for maintenance or updates
- We are not liable for temporary service disruptions
Damages
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for premium features (if any)
- Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you
Health and Safety
- We are not liable for health decisions made based on app information
- Always consult healthcare professionals for medical advice
- Use the app responsibly and prioritize your health and safety
Privacy and Data Protection
Data Collection
- Our Privacy Policy governs data collection and use
- We collect minimal personal data necessary for app functionality
- Most data is stored locally on your device

- However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure

Termination
User Termination

By using Foodometer, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

Beta Features

- We may discontinue beta features at any time
User Feedback
